In the spring of 2022 I set out on a very ambitious goal, to compete in, and hopefully do well in the National Media Scholars Case Competition. As it turned out, I did not know much about media buying or excel- I taught myself everything I needed to know. After a few sleepless nights and an evil-genius type plan- I was invited to fly accross the country to Washington D.C. to present my plan to the experts. My partner and I spent the week leading up to the comptetion asking the experts questions, and refining our plan. On the last day, after our presentation, we were named the 2022 National Exellence in Media Winners. I learned I can teach myself anything, solve problems, ask questions, and most importantly- count on myself. It was by far one of the most rewarding experiences of my college career. I was also featured in the Washington Post for my win!
